Hope in colour

Posted by Robin Younger on

As we all look forward to Spring and hope for a better year, Shelley Faye Lazar, one of our British designer-makers has created a range of beautiful, individually hand-painted silk and wool scarves around the theme of 'hope'.
From her studio in the picturesque town of Malvern, Shelley expresses her love of colour through the media of fabric and dyes to create one-off designs. She sees her scarves as jewellery in textiles.
Her formal training as a graphic designer can be seen in the designs she creates. She works with the dyes, textiles and the environment rather than manipulating and is constantly delighted and excited by the results.
These bright, sunny scarves will be the perfect gift for Mother's Day on 14th March. Ten per cent of all sales of Shelley's 'Hope' range will be donated to Hope Support Services which offers support to young people when a loved one has a serious illness.
